PRESS RELEASE: To our prospective and able youths.

NATIONAL AGENCY FOR THE GREAT GREEN WALL

TO OUR PROSPECTIVE AND ABLE YOUTHS

Greetings

As the saying goes; "There is always strength in numbers. The more individuals or organizations that you can rally to your cause, the better." Mark Shields.

We, at the National Agency for the Great Green Wall (NAGGW) intend to take advantage of our numbers, (i.e., the productive sector of the population) to motivate and mobilize them as volunteers to fully participate in our afforestation and reforestation activities, land regeneration, income and job creation, alternative energy sources, capacity development, and public enlightenment.

The Agency, which hopes to be empowered to employ thousands of youths in the future, now seeks our teeming youths to join her in attaining her mandate, and helping her achieve her objectives. This was also the request of some of our youths at Sharm EI-Sheikh, in Egypt, during COP27, and the three NAGGW Youth Champions that were part of the recently concluded st Edition of the Pan African Agency of the Great Green Wall (PAGGW) Green Youth Caravan that toured Senegal, Mauritania and Mali.

As a result, the Agency is now registering a minimum of 1000 youths between the ages of 18 and 35 with a valid NIN from each of its eleven frontline States to serve as NAGGW Youth Volunteers. The Agency is also inviting other youths from all over the country with the same requirement to visit its website, www.ggwnigeria.gov.ng to register online as volunteers.

Sincerely,

Dr. Yusuf Maina-Bukar

DG/CEO
