Ecosystem restoration playbook

To encourage the rebirth of ecosystems around the world, UNEP has published a practical guide to ecosystem restoration. Published at the start of the UN Decade for Ecosystem Restoration (2021-2030), the Practical Guide to Ecosystem Restoration presents the range of actions that can slow and halt ecosystem degradation and promote ecosystem recovery.

Designed for all interested individuals and stakeholder groups, the guide presents three ways to get involved in ecosystem restoration during the UN Decade and beyond:

• Take action, for example by launching or supporting a restoration project on the ground.
• Make smart choices, for example by buying only sustainable products or changing your diet.
• Speak out in favor of ecosystem conservation and restoration.
