For example in the past years, GECCI has been actively involved in creating awareness, and engaging world youths in the sensitization and mobilization of the public on the imperatives of positive actions to reverse environmental pollution and global climate change towards achieving net zero GHG emissions. We have been working with a number of partners across the globe including the United Nations (UN), especially on achieving SDGs related to environmental and climate change.
The Global Environmental and Climate Conservation Initiative (Global ECC Initiative) is an independent global youth-led campaign organization that aims to be a global leader in environmental and climate conservation with a view to ensuring a healthy environment and ecosystem balance for sustainable development.
Its activities and presence spanned over 90 countries, with over 22,000 people, mostly young people aged 18 to 45, working in teams to promote sustainable agriculture, Energy, Climate change, biodiversity conservation, and socially responsible farming. Our operations are spread across a geo-scheme of six regions: Africa, Europe, West Asia, Asia Pacific, Latin America & the Caribbean, and North America. As part of our key achievements, it is worth noting that, from our inception to date, GECCI has executed over 100 high-impact projects across the world.

Yes, I am highly enthusiastic about the Great Green Wall (GGW). I will make significant
contributions to the GGW project through my community initiative project, called GECCI,
(which has a global spread, especially in Africa) in the following ways:
(i) Effective mobilization of youths across the five regions of Africa toward the attainment
of the noble objectives of the GGW.
(ii) Creating public awareness about the GGW across the world with a view to inspiring a global popular movement to deliver this urgent African-led dream by 2063.
(iii) Sensitization and mobilization of the public for the protection of humanity’s most
precious natural assets, including fertile land, economic opportunities for the world’s
youngest population, and food security.

global climate change, and food insecurity.
(v) Support the restoration of degraded land in Africa through activities that will promote
green jobs for youths, women, and persons with disability.
(vi) Help in combating desertification by establishing tree seedling plantations, nurturing and
planting them across Africa, especially the Sahel region.
(i) Better environmental sanitization through awareness on the risks and dangers of
environmental pollution.
(ii) Ecosystem balance due to better environment owing to tree planting and better sanitation.
(iii) Reducing emissions and improving the quality of air.
(iv) Waste recycling and responsible agriculture.
(v) Reforestation through tree planting to reduce desert encroachment.
